75 DUAS FROM THE QURAN

1:Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas samee ul aleem

رَبَّنا تَقَبَّل مِنّا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ

'' O our Lord ! accept (this service) from us,verily You (alone) are the Hearer,the Knower

SURAH AL-BAQARAH ,verse 127

2:Rabbana waijAAalna muslimayni laka wamin thurriyyatina ommatan muslimatan laka waarina manasikana watub AAalayna innaka anta alttawwabu alrraheem

رَبَّنا وَاجعَلنا مُسلِمَينِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنا أُمَّةً مُسلِمَةً لَكَ وَأَرِنا مَناسِكَنا وَتُب عَلَينا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوّابُ الرَّحيمُ

Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

SURAH AL-BAQARAH ,verse 128

3:  Rabbana aatina fiddunya hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan waqina azaabannaar

رَبَّنا ءاتِنا فِى الدُّنيا حَسَنَةً وَفِى الءاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ

'' Our Lord ! grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter and save us from the torment of the Fire ''

SURAH AL-BAQARAH ,VERSE 201

4: Rabbana afrigh AAalayna sabran wathabbit aqdamana waonsurna AAala alqawmi alkafireen

 رَبَّنا أَفرِغ عَلَينا صَبرًا وَثَبِّت أَقدامَنا وَانصُرنا عَلَى القَومِ الكٰفِرينَ

'' Our Lord, pour down upon us patience, and make our steps firm and assist us against the unbelieving people''

(  سورة البقرة  , Al-Baqara, Chapter 2, Verse 250)

5: SamiAAna wa aataAAna ghufraanaka rabbana wa ilaykal maseer

 سَمِعنا وَأَطَعنا ۖ غُفرانَكَ رَبَّنا وَإِلَيكَ المَصيرُ

We hear and obey ,our Lord ,grant us Thy forgiveness and to Thee is the end of all journeys.

Surah Al-Baqarah ,verse 285

6: Rabbana la tu akhithnaa innaseenaa aw akhtaana

رَبَّنا لا تُؤاخِذنا إِن نَسينا أَو أَخطَأنا

'' Our Lord ! take us not to task if we forget or fall into error ''

Surah Al-Baqarah ,verse 286

7: Rabbanaa walaa tahmil alaynaa isran kamaa hamaltahu alallatheena min qablina

رَبَّنا وَلا تَحمِل عَلَينا إِصرًا كَما حَمَلتَهُ عَلَى الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِنا

'' Our Lord ! do not lay on us a burden as Thou did lay upon those before us ''

Surah Al-Baqarah ,verse 286

8: Rabbana wala tuhammilna maa laa taaqata lana bihi waAAfu anna waghfirlanaa warhamnaa anta mawlaana fansurna alal qawmil kaafireen

 رَبَّنا وَلا تُحَمِّلنا ما لا طاقَةَ لَنا بِهِ ۖ وَاعفُ عَنّا وَاغفِر لَنا وَارحَمنا ۚ أَنتَ مَولىٰنا فَانصُرنا عَلَى القَومِ الكٰفِرينَ

'' Our Lord ! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear,grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us.You are our Protector.Help us against those who deny the truth''

Surah Al-Baqarah ,verse 286

9:Rabbana la tuzigh quloobanaa baAAda ith hadaytana wahab lanaa min ladunka rahmatan innaka antal wahhaab

رَبَّنا لا تُزِغ قُلوبَنا بَعدَ إِذ هَدَيتَنا وَهَب لَنا مِن لَدُنكَ رَحمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الوَهّابُ

''Our Lord! make not our hearts to deviate after Thou hast guided us aright and grant us from Thee mercy;surely Thou art the most liberal Giver''

SURAH Al-Imran,verse 8

10: Rabbana innaka jamiAAu alnnasi liyawmin la rayba feehi inna Allaha la yukhlifu almeeAAad

رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ جامِعُ النّاسِ لِيَومٍ لا رَيبَ فيهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُخلِفُ الميعادَ

''Our Lord! surely Thou art the Gatherer of men on a day about which there is no doubt;

surely Allah will not fail (His) promise''

(  سورة آل عمران  , Aal-e-Imran, Chapter 3, Verse 9)

11:rabbana innana amanna faighfir lana thunoobana waqina AAathaba alnnaar

 رَبَّنا إِنَّنا ءامَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ

''Our Lord! surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the

chastisement of the fire''

(  سورة آل عمران  , Aal-e-Imran, Chapter 3, Verse 16)

12:My Lord! grant me from Thee good offspring; surely Thou art the Hearer of prayer.

 رَبِّ هَب لى مِن لَدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَميعُ الدُّعاءِ

 rabbi hab lee min ladunka thurriyyatan tayyibatan innaka sameeAAudduAAa

Surah Al-Imran ,verse 38

This is the supplication of Prophet Zakariyya (Peace be upon him) .

13:Rabbana amanna bima anzalta waittabaAAna alrrasoola faoktubna maAAa alshshahideen

رَبَّنا ءامَنّا بِما أَنزَلتَ وَاتَّبَعنَا الرَّسولَ فَاكتُبنا مَعَ الشّٰهِدينَ

''Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed and we follow the apostle, so write us down with those who bear witness''

(  سورة آل عمران  , Aal-e-Imran, Chapter 3, Verse 53)

14:Rabbanaa ighfir lanaa thunoobana wa israafanaa fee amrinaa wa thabbit aqdaamanaa wansurna alal qawmil kaafireen

 رَبَّنَا اغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَإِسرافَنا فى أَمرِنا وَثَبِّت أَقدامَنا وَانصُرنا عَلَى القَومِ الكٰفِرينَ

''Our Lord ! forgive us our sins and our transgressions,establish our feet firmly and help us against the disbelieving folk ''

Surah Al-Imran ,verse 147

15:Rabbana ma khalaqta haatha baatilan subhaanaka faqina azaabannaar

رَبَّنا ما خَلَقتَ هٰذا بٰطِلًا سُبحٰنَكَ فَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ

''Our Lord ! Thou has not created this in vain.Glory be to Thee ! Guard us against the punishment of the fire''

Surah Al-Imran,verse 191

16:Rabbanaa innaka man tudkhilinnaara faqad akhzaytahu wamaa liththaalimeena min ansaar

رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ مَن تُدخِلِ النّارَ فَقَد أَخزَيتَهُ ۖ وَما لِلظّٰلِمينَ مِن أَنصارٍ

''Our Lord ! surely whomsoever You admit into the Fire,You will have abased and the harmdoers shall have no helpers''

Surah Al-Imran,verse 192

17: rabbana innana samiAAna munadiyan yunadee lileemani an aminoo birabbikum faamanna

رَبَّنا إِنَّنا سَمِعنا مُنادِيًا يُنادى لِلإيمٰنِ أَن ءامِنوا بِرَبِّكُم فَـٔامَنّا

'' Our Lord! surely we have heard a preacher calling to the faith, saying: Believe in your Lord, so we did believe''

(  سورة آل عمران  , Aal-e-Imran, Chapter 3, Verse 193)

18:Rabbana faghfirlana thunoobanaa wa kaffir anna sayyi aatinaa wa tawaffanaa ma alabraar

رَبَّنا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَكَفِّر عَنّا سَيِّـٔاتِنا وَتَوَفَّنا مَعَ الأَبرارِ

''Our Lord ! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds and make us die with the righteous''

Surah AL-IMRAN,verse 193

19:Rabbanaa wa aatina maa wa adtanaa alaa rusulika walaa tukhzinaa yawmal qiyaamati innaka laa tukhliful meeAAaad

رَبَّنا وَءاتِنا ما وَعَدتَنا عَلىٰ رُسُلِكَ وَلا تُخزِنا يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ ۗ إِنَّكَ لا تُخلِفُ الميعادَ

''Our Lord ! grant us what Thou hast promised us by Thy Apostles and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection ;surely You do not

break Your Promise''

Surah Al-Imran ,verse 194

20 : "O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.

 اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

allahumma malika almulki tutee almulka man tashao watanziAAu almulka mimman tashao watuAAizzu man tashao watuthillu man tashao biyadika alkhayru innaka AAala kulli shayin qadeer

Surah Al-Imran ,verse 26

21: ''Our Lord ! we have sinned against ourselves and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us ,we shall most certainly be lost''

رَبَّنا ظَلَمنا أَنفُسَنا وَإِن لَم تَغفِر لَنا وَتَرحَمنا لَنَكونَنَّ مِنَ الخٰسِرينَ

Rabbana thalamna anfusana wa in lam taghfirlana watar hamna lana koonanna minal khasireen

SURAH AL-A`RAF ,VERSE 23

22: ''Our Lord ! place us not with the unjust''

رَبَّنا لا تَجعَلنا مَعَ القَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ 

Rabbana laa tajAAalna ma al qawmiththaalimeen

Surah Al-A`raf ,verse 47

When the people of Al-A`raf will look at the people of the Fire and recognize them, they will supplicate with this dua

 ''O Lord! Do not place us with the people who are wrongdoers''

23:  ''Our Lord! decide between us and our people with truth; and Thou art the best of deciders''

  رَبَّنَا افتَح بَينَنا وَبَينَ قَومِنا بِالحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الفٰتِحينَ

rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bialhaqqi waanta khayru alfatiheen

(  سورة الأعراف  , Al-Araf, Chapter 7, Verse 89)

24: ''Our Lord: Pour out upon us patience and cause us to die in submission''

  رَبَّنا أَفرِغ عَلَينا صَبرًا وَتَوَفَّنا مُسلِمينَ

Rabbana afrigh AAalayna sabran watawaffana muslimeen

(  سورة الأعراف  , Al-Araf, Chapter 7, Verse 126)

25: My Lord! forgive me and my brother and cause us to enter into Thy mercy, and Thou art the most Merciful of the merciful ones.

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِأَخِي وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِي رَحْمَتِكَ ۖ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

rabbi ighfir lee waliakhee waadkhilna fee rahmatika waanta arhamu alrrahimeen

Surah Al-A'raaf ,verse 151

26:  '' My Lord ! grant me (offspring) from the righteous ''

رَبِّ هَب لى مِنَ الصّٰلِحينَ

Rabbi hab lee minassaaliheen

(Surah As-Saffaat ,verse 100)

'' This is the dua of PROPHET IBRAHIM (Peace be upon him) ''

27:  ''O our Lord ! turn away from us the punishment of Hell ,surely the punishment thereof is a lasting.Surely it is an evil abode and (evil) place to stay''

رَبَّنَا اصرِف عَنّا عَذابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذابَها كانَ غَرامًا ﴿٦٥﴾ إِنَّها ساءَت مُستَقَرًّا وَمُقامًا

Rabbana isrif anna azaaba jahannama inna azaabaha kaana gharaama innaha saa at mustaqarran wa muqaama

SURAH AL-Furqan ,VERSE 65,66

28:  ''O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes and make us guides to those who guard (against evil)''

رَبَّنا هَب لَنا مِن أَزوٰجِنا وَذُرِّيّٰتِنا قُرَّةَ أَعيُنٍ وَاجعَلنا لِلمُتَّقينَ إِمامًا

Rabbana hab lana min azwaajinaa wa thurriyyaatina qurrata aAAyunin wajAAalnaa lilmuttaqeena imaamaa

SURAH AL-Furqan ,VERSE 74

29:  ''There is no God but Thou,glory be to Thee,surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss''

لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا أَنتَ سُبحٰنَكَ إِنّى كُنتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمينَ

Laa ilaaha illaa anta subhaanaka innee kuntu minaththalimeen

SURAH AL-ANBIYA ,VERSE 87

30 :  "O my Lord! leave me not without offspring, though thou art the best of inheritors."

رَبِّ لا تَذَرنى فَردًا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الوٰرِثينَ

rabbi la tatharnee fardan waanta khayru alwaritheen

(Surah Al-Anbiya,verse 89)

This is the supplication of Prophet Zakariyyah (peace be upon him).

31:   This is the dua of Prophet Ayub (peace be upon him).It can be recited during the time of distress.

 Harm has afflicted me, and Thou art the most Merciful of the merciful.

 أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

annee massaniya alddurru waanta arhamu alrrahimeen

Surah Al-Anbiya ,verse 83

32:  ''Our Lord ! forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in belief and put Thou not into our hearts any rancour towards those who believe,Our Lord ,surely Thou art Kind ,Merciful''

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Rabbana ighfir lana wali ikhwaanina allatheena sabaqoona bil eemani wala taj al fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena aamanoo rabbana innaka raoofun raheem

Surah Al-Hashr ,verse 10

33:  ''Our Lord ! on Thee do we rely and to Thee do we turn and to Thee is the end of all journeys''

رَبَّنا عَلَيكَ تَوَكَّلنا وَإِلَيكَ أَنَبنا وَإِلَيكَ المَصير

Rabbana alayka tawakkalna wa ilayka anabna wa ilaykal maseer

Surah Al-Mumtahinah ,verse 4

34:  '' Our Lord ! do not make us a trial for those who disbelieve and forgive us ,our Lord ,surely Thou art the Mighty,the Wise ''

رَبَّنا لا تَجعَلنا فِتنَةً لِلَّذينَ كَفَروا وَاغفِر لَنا رَبَّنا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ

Rabbana la tajAAalna fitnatan lillatheena kafaroo waghfirlanaa rabbana innaka antal azeezul hakeem

Surah Al-Mumtahinah ,verse 5

35:  ''Our Lord! grant us mercy from Thee and provide for us a right course in our affair''

رَبَّنا ءاتِنا مِن لَدُنكَ رَحمَةً وَهَيِّئ لَنا مِن أَمرِنا رَشَدًا

Rabbanaa aatina min ladunka rahmatan wahayyi lanaa min amrinaa rashada

SURAH AL-KAHF ,VERSE 10

36:  ''O my Lord ! increase me in knowledge''

 رَبِّ زِدنى عِلمًا

Rabbi zidna ilma

Surah Ta-Ha ,verse 114

37:  ''O my Lord ! open my chest for me and make my task easy for me and make loose the knot from my tongue so that they understand my speech''

 رَبِّ اشرَح لى صَدرى ﴿٢٥﴾ وَيَسِّر لى أَمرى ﴿٢٦﴾ وَاحلُل عُقدَةً مِن لِسانى ﴿٢٧﴾ يَفقَهوا قَولى

Rabbish rahli sadri wa yassir lee amri wahlul ukdatan min li saani yafkahu qawli

SURAH TA-HA ,VERSE 25-28

This is the supplication of Prophet MUSA (peace be upon him)

38: This dua can be used to seek protection from one's enemy

O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he will transgress

 رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَا أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ

rabbana innana nakhafu an yafruta AAalayna aw an yatgha

Surah Ta-ha ,verse 45

39: ''O my Lord ! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans and I seek refuge in Thee O my Lord , lest they come near unto me''

رَبِّ أَعوذُ بِكَ مِن هَمَزٰتِ الشَّيٰطينِ ﴿٩٧﴾ وَأَعوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحضُرونِ

Rabbi aaoothubika min hamazaatish shayaateeni wa aAAoothubika rabbi an yahduroon

Surah Al-Mu'minun ,verse 97,98

40: This dua can be recited while travelling

My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the best to accommodate [us].'

رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِي مُنزَلًا مُّبَارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنزِلِينَ

rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakan waanta khayru almunzileen

Surah Al-Muminoon, verse 29

41: Rabbi fala tajAAalnee fee alqawmi alththalimeen

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

Surah Al-Muminoon ,verse 94

42:  ''Our Lord ,we believe ;therefore forgive us and have mercy on us ,for Thou art the best of the Merciful''

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Rabbana aamanna faighfirlanaa warhamna wa anta khayrur raahimeen

Surah Al-Mu`minun ,verse 109

43:  ''O my Lord ! forgive and have mercy and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones''

 رَبِّ اغفِر وَارحَم وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰحِمينَ

Rabbi ighfir warham wa anta khayrur raahimeen

Surah Al-Mu`minun ,verse 118

44: Dua of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him)

''MY LORD ! surely I have wronged myself , forgive me''

رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي

Rabbi innee thalamtu nafsee faghfirli

Surah Al-Qasas , verse 16

45:   My Lord! deliver me from the unjust people

 رَبِّ نَجِّنى مِنَ القَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ

rabbi najjinee mina alqawmi alththalimeen

Surah Al-Qasas,verse 21

46: O my Lord ! Truly I am in need of whatever good You bestow on me

رَبِّ إِنّى لِما أَنزَلتَ إِلَىَّ مِن خَيرٍ فَقيرٌ

Rabbi innee limaa anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer

Surah Al-Qasas ,verse 24

47: Dua (supplication ) of Prophet Lut (peace be upon him) from the Quran

My Lord ! help me against the mischievous people

رَبِّ انصُرنى عَلَى القَومِ المُفسِدينَ

Rabbin surnee alal qawmil mufsideen

Surah Al-Ankabut ,verse 30

48:Our Lord! cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper.

  رَبَّنا أَخرِجنا مِن هٰذِهِ القَريَةِ الظّالِمِ أَهلُها وَاجعَل لَنا مِن لَدُنكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجعَل لَنا مِن لَدُنكَ نَصيرًا

rabbana akhrijna min hathihi alqaryati alththalimi ahluha waijAAal lana min ladunka waliyyan waijAAal lana min ladunka naseera

(  سورة النساء  , An-Nisa, Chapter 4, Verse 75)

49:Our Lord! we believe, so write us down with the witnesses (of truth)

  رَبَّنا ءامَنّا فَاكتُبنا مَعَ الشّٰهِدينَ

rabbana amanna faoktubna maAAa alshshahideen

(  سورة المائدة  , Al-Maeda, Chapter 5, Verse 83)

50: Dua of Prophet Isa (peace be upon him)

''O Allah, our Lord! send  down to us food from heaven which should be to us an ever-recurring happiness, to the first of us and to the last of us, and a sign from Thee, and grant us means of subsistence, and Thou art the best of the Providers''

 اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنا أَنزِل عَلَينا مائِدَةً مِنَ السَّماءِ تَكونُ لَنا عيدًا لِأَوَّلِنا وَءاخِرِنا

وَءايَةً مِنكَ ۖ وَارزُقنا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰزِقينَ

 Allahumma rabbana anzil AAalayna maidatan mina alssamai takoonu lana AAeedan liawwalina waakhirina waayatan minka waorzuqna waanta khayru alrraziqeen

Surah Al-Maida ,verse 114

51:My Lord,Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good

رَبِّ هَب لى حُكمًا وَأَلحِقنى بِالصّٰلِحينَ

 Rabbi hab lee hukman waalhiqnee bialssaliheen

Surah Ash-Shu'ara ,verse 83

dua 52 : Surah Ash-Shu'ara ,verses 83-89

( Read the last part of the duaa if your father is a non-believer)

(83) My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good

(84)And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity

(85) And make me of the heirs of the garden of bliss

(86) And forgive my father, for surely he is of those who have gone astray;

 (87) And disgrace me not on the day when they are raised

(88) The day on which property will not avail, nor sons

 (89) Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil).

رَبِّ هَب لى حُكمًا وَأَلحِقنى بِالصّٰلِحينَ ﴿٨٣﴾ وَاجعَل لى لِسانَ صِدقٍ فِى الءاخِرينَ ﴿٨٤﴾ وَاجعَلنى

(87)مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعيمِ ﴿٨٥﴾ وَاغفِر لِأَبى إِنَّهُ كانَ مِنَ الضّالّينَ ﴿٨٦﴾ وَلا تُخزِنى يَومَ يُبعَثونَ

 يَومَ لا يَنفَعُ مالٌ وَلا بَنونَ ﴿٨٨﴾ إِلّا مَن أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلبٍ سَليمٍ

(83) Rabbi hab lee hukman waalhiqnee bialssaliheena

(84) WaijAAal lee lisana sidqin fee alakhireena

 (85) WaijAAalnee min warathati jannati alnnaAAeemi

(86) Waighfir liabee innahu kana mina alddalleena

(87) Wala tukhzinee yawma yubAAathoona

(88) Yawma la yanfaAAu malun wala banoona

 (89) Illa man ata Allaha biqalbin saleemin

dua 53 : DUA FOR GOOD HEALTH

(80) And when I am sick, then He restores me to health

          وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ

(80) Waitha maridtu fahuwa yashfeen

Surah Ash-Shu'ara ,verse 80

54:  Dua of Prophet Sulaymaan and Dawood (peace be upon them )

''Praise be to Allah, Who has made us to excel many of His believing servants''

 الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذى فَضَّلَنا عَلىٰ كَثيرٍ مِن عِبادِهِ المُؤمِنينَ

 Alhamdu lillahi allathee faddalana AAala katheerin min AAibadihi almumineen

 Surah An-Naml ,verse 15

55: '' My Lord ! grant me that I should be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents and that I should do good such as Thou art pleased with and make me enter by Thy mercy,into Thy servants ,the good ones ''

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

 Rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya wa alaa waalidayya wa an aAAmala saalihan tardahu

wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee AAibaadikas saaliheen

SURAH AN-NAML ,VERSE 19

56:  Praise belongs to Allah who has removed all sorrow from us. Indeed, our Lord is the Forgiver, the Multiplier of the rewards

 الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذى أَذهَبَ عَنَّا الحَزَنَ ۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنا لَغَفورٌ شَكورٌ

alhamdu lillahi allathee athhaba AAanna alhazana inna rabbana laghafoorun shakoor

(  سورة فاطر  , Fatir, Chapter 35, Verse 34)

57:  Our Lord, You embrace all things in mercy and knowledge. Forgive those who repent and follow Your Way. Shield them against the punishment of Hell.(8) Admit them, Our Lord, to the Gardens of Eden which You have promised them, together with those who were righteous among their fathers, their wives, and their offspring. You are the Almighty, the Wise 

رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ   

          رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدتَّهُمْ وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

rabbana wasiAAta kulla shayin rahmatan waAAilman faighfir lillatheena taboo waittabaAAoo sabeelaka waqihim AAathaba aljaheem.

Rabbana waadkhilhum jannati AAadnin allatee waAAadtahum waman salaha min abaihim waazwajihim wathurriyyatihim innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeem

(  سورة غافر  , Ghafir, Chapter 40, Verse 7,8)

58:  ''My Lord! make this city secure, and save me and my sons from worshipping idols''

 رَبِّ اجعَل هٰذَا البَلَدَ ءامِنًا وَاجنُبنى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَعبُدَ الأَصنامَ

rabbi ijAAal hatha albalada aminan waojnubnee wabaniyya an naAAbuda alasnaam

Surah Ibrahim ,verse 35

59: ''Our Lord, You have knowledge of all that we hide and all that we reveal;nothing in heaven or earth is hidden from Allah''

رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ تَعلَمُ ما نُخفى وَما نُعلِنُ ۗ وَما يَخفىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِن شَيءٍ فِى الأَرضِ وَلا فِى السَّماءِ

rabbana innaka taAAlamu ma nukhfee wama nuAAlinu wama yakhfa AAala Allahi min shayin fee alardi wala fee alssamai 

(  سورة إبراهيم  , Ibrahim, Chapter 14, Verse 38)

60: ''O my Lord ! make me one who establishes regular prayer and (also) from my offspring ,our Lord ! and accept my invocation''

رَبِّ اجعَلنى مُقيمَ الصَّلوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتى ۚ رَبَّنا وَتَقَبَّل دُعاءِ

Rabbi ijAAalnee muqeemas salati wamin thurriyyatee rabbana wtaqabbal duAAa

SURAH IBRAHIM ,VERSE 40

61: ''O our Lord! forgive me and my parents and (all) the believers on the day when the reckoning will be established''

رَبَّنَا اغفِر لى وَلِوٰلِدَىَّ وَلِلمُؤمِنينَ يَومَ يَقومُ الحِسابُ

Rabbana ighfirli waliwaalidayya walil mu`mineena yawma yaqoomul hisaab

Surah Ibrahim ,verse 41

62: Dua of Prophet Yususf (peace be upon him):

 My Lord! Originator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my guardian in this world and the hereafter; make me die a muslim and join me with the good.

رَبِّ فاطِرَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ أَنتَ وَلِيّۦ فِى الدُّنيا وَالءاخِرَةِ ۖ تَوَفَّنى مُسلِمًا وَأَلحِقنى بِالصّٰلِحينَ

  Rabbi fatira alssamawati waalardi anta waliyyee fee alddunya waalakhirati tawaffanee musliman waalhiqnee bialssaliheen

 Surah Yusuf ,verse 101

63: Dua of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) against the fitnah of women

 

My Lord! the prison house is dearer to me than that to which they invite me;and if Thou turn not away their device from me, I will yearn towards them and become (one) of the ignorant.

 رَبِّ السِّجنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ مِمّا يَدعونَنى إِلَيهِ ۖ وَإِلّا تَصرِف عَنّى كَيدَهُنَّ أَصبُ إِلَيهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِنَ الجٰهِلينَ

 rabbi alssijnu ahabbu ilayya mimma yadAAoonanee ilayhi wailla tasrif AAannee kaydahunna asbu ilayhinna waakun mina aljahileen

 Surah Yusuf ,verse 33

64 : My Lord, I seek refuge with You from asking You of that which I have no knowledge. If You do not forgive me and have mercy on me, I shall be among the losers.'

 رَبِّ إِنّى أَعوذُ بِكَ أَن أَسـَٔلَكَ ما لَيسَ لى بِهِ عِلمٌ ۖ وَإِلّا تَغفِر لى وَتَرحَمنى أَكُن مِنَ الخٰسِرينَ

rabbi innee aAAoothu bika an asalaka ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun wailla taghfir lee watarhamnee akun mina alkhasireen

SURAH HUD, VERSE 47

65: Dua of Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) against the disbelievers

''My Lord! leave not upon the land any dweller from among the unbelievers''

 رَبِّ لا تَذَر عَلَى الأَرضِ مِنَ الكٰفِرينَ دَيّارًا

 rabbi la tathar AAala alardi mina alkafireena dayyara

Surah  NUH  verse 26

66: Dua of Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him)

''My Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the unjust in aught but destruction! ''

 رَبِّ اغفِر لى وَلِوٰلِدَىَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيتِىَ مُؤمِنًا وَلِلمُؤمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِنٰتِ وَلا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمينَ إِلّا تَبارًا

 Rabbi ighfir lee waliwalidayya waliman dakhala baytiya muminan walilmumineena waalmuminati wala tazidi alththalimeena illa tabara

Surah  NUH  verse 28

67: Our Lord, complete our light for us and forgive us.Surely, You have power over all things.

 رَبَّنا أَتمِم لَنا نورَنا وَاغفِر لَنا ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ

rabbana atmim lana noorana waighfir lana innaka AAala kulli shayin qadeer

(  سورة التحريم  , At-Tahrim, Chapter 66, Verse 8)

68: "My Lord! Build for me a home with You in Paradise''

 رَبِّ ابنِ لى عِندَكَ بَيتًا فِى الجَنَّةِ

Rabbi ibni lee AAindaka baytan fee aljannati

Surah At-Tahreem ,verse 11

This is the dua of Asiya (peace be upon her)

69:  ''Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression Save us, through Your Mercy, from the unbelieving nation''

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ     

       وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

rabbana la tajAAalna fitnatan lilqawmi alththalimeen (86) Wanajjina birahmatika mina alqawmi alkafireen

(  سورة يونس  , Yunus, Chapter 10, Verse 85,86)

70: Dua for your parents

''O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up (when I was) little''

 رَبِّ ارحَمهُما كَما رَبَّيانى صَغيرًا

rabbi irhamhuma kama rabbayanee sagheera

Surah Al-Isra ,verse 24

71: ''My Lord, grant me an entrance of sincerity and an exit of sincerity, and give me from Yours a victorious power''

 رَبِّ أَدخِلنى مُدخَلَ صِدقٍ وَأَخرِجنى مُخرَجَ صِدقٍ وَاجعَل لى مِن لَدُنكَ سُلطٰنًا نَصيرًا

rabbi adkhilnee mudkhala sidqin waakhrijnee mukhraja sidqin waijAAal lee min ladunka sultanan naseera

Surah Al-Isra ,verse 80

72:O my Lord ,dispose me that I may be thankful for Thy blessing with which Thou hast blessed me and my father and mother and that I may do righteousness ,well-pleasing to Thee and make me righteous also in my seed ,surely I turn to Thee and surely I am of those who submit

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

Rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmatakallatee an amta alayya wa alaa waalidayya wa an aamala saalihan tardahu wa aslih lee fee thurriyyatee innee tubtu ilayka wa inni minal muslimeen

Surah Al-Ahqaf ,verse 15

73:'' Dua for protection from evil people ''

Rabbi najjinee waahlee mimma yaAAmaloon

رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ

"My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do."

(  سورة الشعراء  , Ash-Shuara, Chapter #26, Verse #169)

74: Dua for Travelling

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ

وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

subhana allathee sakhkhara lana hatha wama kunna lahu muqrineen

Wainna ila rabbina lamunqaliboon

"Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."

Surah Az-Zukhruf ,verses 13-14

75: Read this dua while boarding a ship or a plane.

This is the dua of Prophet Nuh (Peace be upon him)

in the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

bismi Allahi majraha wamursaha inna rabbee laghafoorun raheem

 بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

SURAH HUD, VERSE 41
