Nepal is a tiny landlocked country. Almost two and a half centuries old absolute monarchy has been replaced with republic system of secular democracy. New inclusive and proportional constitution is being drafted for the country. There are 18 Muslim representatives among 601 from different political parties in the Constituent Assembly. Muslims are facing a host of problems. Such as educational, economic, social, and political. In brief the Nepali Muslims are far behind in all the fields of life and they are in need of full attention of well-wishers. As education is key of development and success, Al-Hira Educational Society Nepal is established in 1994 to fulfill the educational need of Muslims of Nepal.
The Vision of the Society:
Al-Hira Educational Society has a vision to enable the new Muslim Generation to face the challenges through a balanced and modern Curriculum of education.
Achievements since establishment:
~ Produced more than 215 Islamic Scholars and 160 modern educated persons.
~ Sponsored more than 4450 orphans and poor students.
~ Built class rooms in all 12 institutions.
~ Provided books, computers and sewing machines in most of the institutions.
~ Upgraded educational standard in all institutions according to demand, feasibility and need of the time.
~ Campaigned successfully to prepare the community to invest in education for the future generation's quality education.
~ Organized 3 seminars on education.
~ Organized 11 teacher's training camps.
